Job description

The postdoc position is part of the research project“PIG-PARADIGM– research into the intestinal resilience of piglets”(seehttps://novonordiskfonden.dk/en/projects/pig-paradigm-research-into-the-intestinal-resilience-of-piglets/) funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation. Several national and international research institutions are a part of the project.

Project description

Biomarker candiates of pig robustness and pig gut antimicrobial resistome will be discovered in other studies in the PIG-PARADIGM project. The aim of this Postdoc project is to refine the candiate set by identifying and validating biomarkers for pig robustness and pig gut antimicrobial resistome using statistics and data science.

Your profile

As our new postdoc you should ideally have:

  • A PhD degree with a solid background within applied statistics.
  • Working experience with statistical models and techniques(e.g. multivariate statistics, multiple testing adjustments, controlling false discovery rate, resampling techniques).
  • Knowledge about artificial intelligence(AI) techniques(e.g. clustering).
  • Experience with omics data(e.g. genomics and metabolomics) and bioinformatics.
  • Creativity, perseverance, team spirit and high personal integrity.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.

 Qualification requirements: 

Appointment as Postdoc presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD–level or similar scientific qualifications. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment. Appointment as a Postdoc cannot exceed a period of four years in total at Aalborg University.
