At the Technical Faculty of IT and Design, Department of Computer Science a position as Postdoc in Human-Computer Interaction is open for appointment from January 1, 2025 or soon hereafter. The position is available for a period of 24 months. Department of Computer Science at Aalborg University is highly regarded in Denmark among researchers, students, and external partners because of our leading research, education, and collaboration. Job description

The Human-Centered Computing(HCC) group at Aalborg University’s Department of Computer Science is looking to hire a postdoctoral researcher within the field of Human-Computer Interaction 

The position is within the context of an interdisciplinary project on the integration of artificial intelligence-based decision support systems in port digitalisation. The postdoctoral researcher will empiricaly investigate how decision-support systems can augment human-decision making capabilities in such real-time and physical contexts. We further seek to evaluate novel methodological approaches for conducting ecologically valid decision-support studies. An ideal candidate will have a background in Human-Computer Interaction or similar field, and have proven track-record in applying both quantitative and qualitative methods.

The recruited post-doctoral researcher will be part of the HCC research group,https://www.hcc.aau.dk/, a lively and international research environment with a focus on designing, developing, and applying interactive computing technologies.

Qualification requirements: 

Appointment as Postdoc presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD–level or similar scientific qualifications. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment. Appointment as a Postdoc cannot exceed a period of four years in total at Aalborg University.
