Assistant Professor in Biomechanics
Job description
Research areas will be within biomechanics, rheumatology diseases, sensory input(e.g., pain), and exercise, with a particular focus on understanding how these factors influence human locomotion and how interventions can be designed to improve this. The role will involve leveraging computational models and experimental techniques to address both fundamental and clinical research questions. Candidates should have experience in designing and conducting experimental testing, including randomized controlled trials, and working directly with patients to gather and analyze data. A strong background in integrating experimental findings with computational modeling is essential.
The teaching responsibilities will primarily focus on the biomechanical engineering education, including topics such as anatomy and physiology, movement analysis, musculoskeletal modeling, statistics, and research methods. Additionally, teaching may extend to other study programs offered at the University.
Qualification requirements
Appointment as Postdoc presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD–level or similar scientific qualifications. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment. Appointment as a Postdoc cannot exceed a period of four years in total at Aalborg University.

Assessment
The assessment of candidates for the position will be carried out by qualified experts.
Shortlisting will be applied. This means that after the application deadline, the head of the department, with the assistance of the hiring committee, will select the applicants to be assessed. All applicants will be informed whether they have been shortlisted for assessment or not.
When the hiring process is completed, a final rejection will be sent to the applicants who are not considered for the position.
