The position is affiliated with the department’s research group IT and Learning Design(L-ILD) and the associated research laboratory, ILD-lab. The L-ILD research group focuses on activities that unite diverse approaches to IT and design in various learning contexts. The candidate is expected to contribute to research and teaching activities within L-ILD.
Applicants should demonstrate research and teaching experience relevant to the L-ILD research group, covering one or more of the following areas:
- Pedagogical research and development
- Visual methods and design approaches
- Organizational learning and change
- Technology, well-being, learning and inclusion
- Social sustainability in educational settings
- Dialogic learning, e.g. discussion-based educational methods
- Processes of facilitation, e.g. problem-based learning, creative academic writing
The teaching obligations will primarily be placed within the department’s educational programs, in particular within the MSc in Information Technology, Specializing in ICT, Learning and Organizational Change(ILOO), as well as the part-time Master in Data-driven Organizational Development.
The successful candidate should demonstrate an ability to teach in this area. The programs are conducted in Danish, so proficiency in Danish or another Scandinavian language is preferred. Also, experience with problem-based learning(PBL) will be considered an advantage.
In terms of personal qualities, applicants are expected to possess strong cooperative abilities, and the ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with researchers of various backgrounds. A national as well as an international network is thus an advantage.
The applicants must be prepared to actively participate in all aspects of the day-to-day activities of the department and study programmes.
Associate professorship
The position as associate professor is a full-time position for two years, which includes an obligation to carry out research and teaching activities. To some extent, additional tasks may be defined by the University.
Qualification requirements
Applicants for the associate professorship are required to possess research qualifications at such a level as can be attained through the successful completion of a term of employment as assistant professor, researcher, postdoc or other similar positions. Applicants must document research at an international level. In addition, applicants are assumed to have received supervision and pedagogical skills development and to have obtained a positive written assessment of their teaching qualifications.

Assessment
The assessment of applicants for the position will be carried out by an assessment committee.
Shortlisting will be applied. This means that the head of the department, with the assistance of the hiring committee, will select candidates for assessment. Candidates selected for assessment will then be informed about the composition of the assessment committee. All candidates will be notified whether they have been shortlisted for assessment or not.
Applicants who are selected for assessment will have the opportunity to comment on their assessment.
When the hiring process is completed, a final rejection will be sent to the applicants who are not considered for the position.
